Yoga is an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfillment; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well-being. It is not about exercise but to discover the sense of oneness with yourself, the world and the nature. By changing our lifestyle and creating consciousness, it can help in well being The word ‘yoga’ derives from Sanskrit and means to
join or to unite, symbolizing the union of body and consciousness.

“YOGA IS THE JOURNEY OF THE SELF, TO THE SELF, THROUGH THE SELF”
International Yoga Day is celebrated across globally on June 21st. It’s a day to acknowledge and invest in—mentally, physically, and emotionally—the benefits of yoga, and to connect with friends and community members over the shared practice.This year the theme for this day was “ My Life My Ashanas” Nothing will put you in a better head space to start the day than enjoying a morning yoga session that’s what made few members of our institute walk out together in our lush green campus with individual Yoga mats. Keeping the social distancing in consideration due to the Pandemic outbreak we few members performed “Surya Namaskar “ with a chant offering to our ulimate resource of power , strength and ball of fire “ The Sun”. Benefits of Surya Namaskar

It improves the blood circulation of all the important organs of the body.
Improves the functioning of the heart and lungs.
Strengthens the muscles of the arms and waist.
Makes the spine and waist more flexible.
Helps in reducing the fat around the abdomen and thus reduces weight.
Improves digestion.
Improves concentration power.
Though we couldn’t celebrate this day in presence of all our members and students we tried our bit to celebrate this day with very limited manpower due to the nationwide Corona outbreak.
Hoping and praying for an better tomorrow we ended our special Yoga session for the day.
